Fourth of July

We had all of Tara's family over for the Fourth of July this year. We had a good time. We started out the day at the ward breakfast. The girls decorated their bikes and we had a parade for the kids after the breakfast. We had the whole family over for a barbecue of brats and hamburgers, then we played some games. Trivia, races, competitions, and fun. We ended with fireworks in the street. We tried to watch the city fireworks behind our house, but someone decided to build a huge, 2-story school there.

Ready, Set, Go!!!

Donut eating competition. Surprisingly, I took 2nd

Timpanogos Cave

On Friday morning, we hiked up to Timpanogos Cave with our long time neighbors the Smiths. We threw Britney in a baby backpack and hit the trail. The trail isn't too bad, but it had some steep spots and is about a 1.5 miles one way. We couldn't get early tickets so we ended up hiking around noon. It was toasty. The cave was cool. Megan was worried that the tour guide would turn off the lights in the cave like they normally do, but she was disappointed when they didn't turn off. Britney didn't last long in the cave and Tara ended up taking her out.

Coming down from the Cave. Really steep drop offs.

Britney enjoy the baby backpack for a while.

No, that's not Timp Cave

Happy Birthday Britney

Britney is one awesome baby. She turned one today and has been walking around the house all day long. She has found that walking gets her around faster than crawling, but way more risky on the hard, wood floors. We had a great birthday party for her today. Grandma Davenport was there as well as Grandma and Grandpa Miller. Britney's favorite birthday present by far was her first baby doll. She smiled and hugged and kissed that baby for the rest of the party.
