Yes, we escaped the Mexican drug cartels, bandits, and kidnappers (the kidnappers were actually in Phoenix, the kidnap capital of the world). We drove from Salt Lake City to Mexico. It was crazy. The girls did a great job though during a long drive. Luckily we have a DVD player in our suburban. That device alone made this trip possible. It is a 14 hour drive to Puerto Penasco, Mexico, and that doesn't include stops. Long day. Anyway, we had tons of fun. The weather was nice, but not too hot, in the 70s mostly. The mornings were cool and the evenings were breezy. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, so we used the indoor pool when it got cool.
We played tons of golf and the girls all participated as well. The course was tough, lots of sands, lots of sand, lots of bunkers with sand, and bushes surrounded by sand.
Check out this putt!!!
The girls loved driving the golf cart more than playing golf.
We went into town one day and the girls wanted to buy some little Mexican guitars. They played those things until their fingers hurt, literally in Kaitlyn's case. We thought that Uncle Danny would like the picture of Kaitlyn's blisters on her fingers. She getting callouses now.
Here's Grandpa tuning the guitar.
Kaitlyn's guitar playing blisters.

We had so much fun with those little cuties. Now the drive to Spokane will seem like a breeze.
Girls, golf and guitars, what more do you need?
I miss the all girl mariachi band and my little swimming partners. Not to mention the warmer weahter. Still winter here.
They are so cute! I can't believe the blisters too! Maybe they'll be the next female version of the Jonas' Brothers!
Whatever did we do without DVD players in cars- back in the day?!? Those things are life-savers! Glad you guys had a fun trip :-)
