Turkey Hunt/Camping/Vacation/Sightseeing (because no turkeys)

Well, Turkey Hunt 2010 has come and gone and I have yet to see a wild turkey (a live one at least). Last year we didn't see any turkeys and it was the same this year. We had a fun time though. Megan and I went down to Boulder, Utah near Escalante with Jason Schouten, his two boys, and his dad Randy. It snowed on us at least four times (the weather man said that it would reach near 80 degrees (needless to say we will be switching channels to get a more accurate weather report next time). Luckily, Tara forced me to bring Megan's winter coat and gloves. We would've been totally screwed. Thanks Tara, Mother's know best. One day we did some exploring and drove down through Escalante and went to the Devil's Garden which is know for its cool rock formation and its hairy-legged European tree huggers. Both were very interesting.

The Three Amigos
The Hunter & Apprentice (both had equal experience)
Megan's favorite part of the hunt, the pink 4 wheeler.
Catching some rare sun at Devil's Garden
Devil's Garden
Helping Megan scale the rocks, that's about as high as she got.
Cool rock bridge
Mountain water pipeline
The only wild turkey we saw that probably died during the '09 Turkey Hunt.

I love the pink gloves. They add a nice feminine touch to the manly camo!

How fun for you and Megan. She is a trooper. You are father of the year!
