Ashley the Newest 5th Grade Senator

Ashley ran for student body officer this year for the first time. Since her school is K - 9, she can only run for 5th grade senator. Fifteen 5th graders ran, 6 were selected in the primary election, and then 3 were chosen as senators. Ashley ended up winning the election and is now one of three senators for the 5th grade. She was really excited to be elected. Her mom, by the way, was the first female student body president at her elementary (with some controversy due to hanging chads).
