We had a good mothers' day with Mom. This girls all made her stuff and Dad gave her a Bosch mixer because she wants to make homemade bread. No problems here with that! Notice the last picture, Kaitlyn elbowed Tara in the face so a bloody nose was her last gift for mothers' day.

Davenport Extracurricular Activities
We are sure busy every week with soccer, lacrosse, and dance, not to mention piano lessons and mini music. These girls sure have fun and are getting really good at everything they try. Ashley is our only kid in overlapping sports. Next year she will play soccer for her junior high school which is just one season, lacrosse will still be played in both the fall and the spring. No sports here in the summer which gives us parents a needed break.
Ashley tracking the ball.
Kaitlyn is sure fast. She missed a goal by inches yesterday.
Brits is our only girl currently in dance. She loves it and its nice to have some girlie stuff for us to do.
Megan calling for the ball. She plays attack on the team.
Ashley is our team's lone goalie. She has had multiple games of 14 saves each.
Ashley just made a save and is clearing the ball. She just made the All-Star team.

Dave helped out as the assistant coach this year.

Spring Break in Las Vegas
We decided for a warm, yet relatively local spring break this year. Las Vegas was the choice, with a brief stop in St. George, UT on the way home. The weather was certainly warmer than SLC, in the 70s with wind so it still felt a little chilly sometimes. We stayed on the strip at the Cosmopolitan. It was close to everything we wanted to do, but it was definitely a burlesque education for the girls (not a good thing). We'd stay at the the JW Marriott in Summerlin next time. The strip is very adult, even during the day.
We still hit the pool every day despite the wind. The girls could care less. Ashley was sick with a cold the whole trip and was dragging most the time. She didn't feel well and we didn't sleep well with her hacking cough at night. Her and I managed to go to both the Las Vegas Temple and the St. George Temple during the trip. The girls love the Bellagio, the fountains are cool, but they like the gardens inside. We went to the top of the Stratosphere with everyone. Some of us, the brave, rode the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere. Freemont was crazy too.
A lot of folks go to Vegas and miss out on Freemont. We went late afternoon to Freemont Street, but it was still crazy. Tara wouldn't let the girls get a picture with the Chippendale dancers for $5. I thought that was a good deal, but Tara didn't want the pic to affect the girls future political careers (if they so choose). Fun trip, but we'd definitely stay off the strip next time in Summerlin and drive in for whatever specific thing we wanted to do.
On top of Stratosphere.
Here we are on the Big Shot on top of Stratosphere.
A trip to Old Vegas on Freemont St.
Golden Gate Casino. Lots of family history here.
Hash House at the Plaza on Freemont.
Ashley and I hit the Las Vegas Temple and the St. George Temple.

General Conference Spring 2013
Ashley and I went to LDS General Conference last week.
It was Ashley's first time attending at the Conference
Center. It is crazy how big that place is. We got tickets
from the ward and even a parking pass that made it a lot
easier to get in and away from the crowds. We stopped
by the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for breakfast.
All Ashley wanted was this giant sweet roll. She ate half
of it, which was impressive. It was fun to go downtown
with her. She thought it was cool to see President
Monson and the other general authorities in person. She is
an awesome young women and she makes her parents
very proud.

Winter Fun on the Slopes
We have had fun skiing this year. Although this is Britney's 2nd year skiing, this is the first year that she gets it. Four years old, no 'edgie wedgie', no ropes, she's skiing on her own, and unfortunately, she is really enjoying going fast. Watch out for this kid, she will take you out and keep going. We skied the world's top resorts this year at Snowbird, Alta, Canyons, and Brighton. Tara has skied Deer Valley with the glam crowd, but us commoners will stick with Brighton. The kids enjoy the terrain parks at the resorts with all the jumps, rails, and halfpipes. Maybe its time to get the kids some twin tip skis. Enjoy the pics and especially the videos. We got videos of Megan's many yardsales this weekend ('yardsale' = when skiis and poles are separated from the skier as the result of a crash).
